Knowing What Are the Types of Projector Lamp Available in the Market. Projector Bulb First, let us know that projector lamp is built from a bare bulb which is assembled in a housing. There are two types of bulbs in the market which is an original bulb and a compatible bulb. Original bulb (OB) is made by companies like USHIO, NSHA, HSCR and UHP (Phillips). Whereas compatible bulb (CB) is an exact replica of the original bulb which is manufactured by a company other than the original bulb. Projector Lamp There are three types of projector lamps. The first one is Original Manufacturer (OM). OM lamp is distributed by projector brand company like Sony, Mitsubishi, Dell and Epson. The lamp is built out of original bulb and their owned design of housing. The second one is Original Bulb with Housing (OWH). OWH lamp is manufactured by a third party company and is built using an original bulb but with a generic housing. The third one is Compatible Bulb with Housing (CWH). CWH lamp is assembled using a compatible bulb and a generic housing. OM lamp is the most expensive one and CWH is the cheapest one in the market. In term of qualtiy, OM is the best while OWH is reasonably having the same quality as OM due to the fact that OWH is built using the same original bulb. The lifetime of the lamp is determined by the bulb itself. As both OM and OWH is using the same bulb, their lifetime is about the same. Our company supplies OWH lamp using our own brand. The price is about one third cheaper than the OM lamp. We give 4-months warranty as compared to 3-months warranty for most OM lamps. We are committed to produce affordable lamp with a high quality
